VAT change in our pricing in August-September 2024

As the general Finnish VAT tax rate changes from 24 percent to 25.5 percent on September 1, 2024, this will have an impact on the invoicing our our servers as early as August.

Our invoicing follows the general instructions of the Finnish Tax Administration for goods or services provided on continuous basis. Continuous supply is deemed as having been supplied at the end of each period that determines the remittance of the payment.

In this case  according to the 14-day payment term related to the services we invoiced, the due date of the invouice is in September and the billable service period ends in the period after the VAT change. According to the Tax Administration we ave to invoice the service at a 25.5% VAT ratge for the invoices we send already at the end of August.
